The Friesenberg castle, located at the foot of the Üetliberg, was once home to the noble family De Vriesenberch in the 13th century. Today, only a few wall remains are left. In 1925-1930, an attempt was made to excavate and reconstruct the ruin, but unfortunately, more was destroyed than preserved.
