A 1934 diesel motor, originally built as a ship engine, was later used as a pump at a fish farm in Pfäffikon, but it was severely calcified due to the use of untreated lake water as coolant. The motor was inherited by the Verein Diesel Motoren Winterthur from the Technorama Winterthur, but it was stolen from the workshop, with the copper pipe that led the coolant from the pump to the cylinder block being taken.
